Every minimum wage in the US, as files you can load
The same verified data behind Bankday's minimum wage API, delivered as CSV and JSON for teams that keep rates in their own systems or publish them. Every rate has its official source, the exact sentence it came from and the date we last checked it.
What's in it
- 143 jurisdictions: federal, every state, DC and territory with its own rate, 3 state regions, 72 city and county ordinances, and every Canadian province and territory.
- 380 rates in effect on or after January 1, 2026, including every change announced for 2027 so far (58 of them, 56 on January 1).
- 66 other rates for students, trainees, youth, small employers, hotel and airport workers and the like, with the conditions for each.
- Tipped cash wages by period, left blank where a city hasn't published one.
- Boundaries: the Census county and place FIPS codes each rate covers, including rates that cover only unincorporated areas and county ordinances some towns opted out of.
- Sources: 189 official pages, the quoted sentence for every rate, and the date each one was last checked.
- Changes not announced yet: each scheduled change still waiting on its amount, with the date and the page where it will appear.
Updates
A script refetches every official source and confirms the quoted sentence and the number are still there: monthly, then every weekday in December and from June 15 to 30. When a rate is added or changes, licensees get new files and a note saying what changed, the same day.

Questions
How is this different from the free CSV?
The free CSV lists each jurisdiction's rate today and its next change. The licensed dataset has every rate period from January 1, 2026 on, every announced future change, the other rates for groups like students, trainees, small employers and hotel workers, tipped cash wages by period, the exact sentence and check date behind each rate, the Census county and place codes each rate covers, and the right to use it in your products.
How often is it updated?
Every source is rechecked monthly, and every weekday in December and from June 15 to 30, when most January 1 and July 1 amounts are posted. When a rate is added or changes, licensees get an email that day with the new files. 2027 amounts are still being announced, so December brings several updates.
How do I map an address to the right rate?
Each jurisdiction lists the Census county and place FIPS codes it covers, and what kind of boundary it is: a whole state, a city, a county's unincorporated areas only, or a county minus the towns that opted out (Cook County). Geocode an address to its county and place with the free Census Geocoder, then match the codes. Or call the API, which does this for you.
What if a rate is wrong?
Tell us and we check it against the official source. If it's wrong we correct it, send new files to every licensee and say what changed.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's data with an official source for every number, so your team can check any figure in one click.
Can we see it first?
Yes. The sample below has 3 states (Washington, Colorado, Illinois) and the federal rate in the full format. For a trial with your own states, email the founder.
