Good to know
- Covers unincorporated areas only. Cities in the county set their own rate or follow state law (Los Angeles and Malibu are separate records here).
- The county says some workers may be exempt and asks employers to call DCBA to check.
- The county's Hotel Worker Protection Ordinance (adopted October 7, 2025) adds safety rules and workload limits with double-time pay when exceeded; it is not a separate hotel minimum wage.
- California's separate fast food and health care minimum wages still apply where they are higher.
