January 1, 2027: Since 2026 the county rate rises each January 1 by the lesser of the Washington-area CPI-U growth and 5%. The Director of Finance announces the growth by September 1; the County Council can suspend an increase if employment growth is negative. We didn't find the 2027 figure on an official page (the state poster revised 9/1/2026 still shows $15.30). (library.municode.com)

Prince George's County is no longer below the state rate: CB-088-2024 indexed the county wage starting January 1, 2026, taking it from $15.00 to $15.30, above Maryland's $15.00. Before that the county rate had been $11.50 (since October 2017), which the state rate had overtaken.
The rate is quoted from the Maryland Department of Labor's Prince George's County poster (revised 9/1/2026); the state's wage page says the same rate applies to all employers regardless of size.
