The Nebraska Attorney General sued the city and the court found the minimum wage is likely a matter of statewide concern; the 2026 state amendments (1.75% annual growth and a lower youth wage) remain the law in Lincoln.
If it ever takes effect, the ordinance's tipped cash wage is $2.13 and student-learners in bona fide vocational programs can be paid 75% of the rate.
